Disney Cruise Line updated multiple Know Before You Go pages for U.S. Departures on April 26th (archived) with updated health and safety protocols. Notable changes include changes in Face Coverings requirements, and references to virtual debarkation queues within the app.
Below are the pages the pages that were updated:
- Under the Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App sections, the reference to the virtual queue system to debar the ship at ports of call has been removed.
- Under Face Coverings, the wording changed from REQUIRED to OPTIONAL on motorcoach transportation and in the Disney Cruise Line Terminal.
Under the Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App sections, the reference to the virtual queue system to debark the ship at ports of call has been removed.
The Face Covering section was removed as it was previously a reference to the cruise terminal requirement as previously mentioned.
The big change is the removal of the Deck Parties section which previously stated they were pauses – this is a result of the return of deck parties which we started to see last week!
Additionally, under the Bibbidi Bobbed Boutique section, it was revealed the Pirates League Makeover is paused until Fall 2022 and to check back for more details.
The section referencing the virtual queue system to debark the ship at ports of call has been removed
Ports of Call – Castaway Cay
The following are part of the ports of call page updates, but are specific to Castaway Cay. The face covering policy for Castaway Cay was revised as follows:
Sections referencing the beaches and Cookies BBQ have been removed.
The reference to face coverings in the terminal was removed for debarkation day as well as the listed per person pricing for post-cruise testing services through Inspire Diagnostics has been removed in today’s update, but the service remains available.
Disney Cruise Line announced at the beginning of April, they will be taking a phased approach with the relaxation and modifications of various health and safety protocols which were required upon the industry restart.
We will continue to monitor for additional changes, but please take the time to read and familiarize the information on Disney Cruise Line emails and Know Before You Go pages, specific to your upcoming sailing as this remains a dynamic situation.
When will pre cruise testing at terminal end for vacinated guest
I hope that day of ship testing will end for vaccinated guest
For goodness sake‘s already please drop the vaccine mandate for people who have natural antibodies. Require those of us to test for natural antibodies, and still agree to the PCR test, but don’t force us to take the vaccine in order to cruise. The vaccine does not stop anybody from catching Covid anyway. But people with natural antibodies from recovering from Covid or healthier than anybody. Please at least let us on. DCL will be to full booking at that point.
Oh goodness sakes, we’re the ones giving our antibodies to cure the sick ones to get better. Get rid of the vax mandate for those already recovered from COVID with antibodies. That would be too sensible.
