Disney Wish Begins Sea Trials from Eemshaven – A Different Look at the River Ems Conveyance from Disney

Today, the Disney Wish marked a new milestone beginning her sea trials (testing of the systems in open water) from Eemshaven, Netherlands. Currently, the Disney Wish remains in the harbor presumably testing thrusters and other systems before moving into the North Sea.

A Different Look at the River Ems Conveyance from Disney

On March 30, 2022, Disney Cruise Line celebrated a new ship build milestone moving one step closer to the Disney Wish’s delivery. The Disney Wish was moved from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany to the Eemshaven, Netherlands. During this maneuver, the Disney Wish entered open water for the first time. The 26 mile conveyance on the River Ems took about 24 hours to complete. The voyage included navigating locks, drawbridges and tight clearings along the way.
