Dear,

All of us at Disney Cruise Line hope you and your family are staying well. Considering recently updated guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we have updated our face covering requirements for sailings originating from a U.S. port of departure, including your upcoming sailing:

  • For sailings beginning March 11, 2022, face coverings on Disney Cruise Line will become optional in most indoor locations throughout our ships. Guests ages 2 and up, including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, will still be required to wear face coverings in the Walt Disney Theatre.
  • Guests under 5 years of age who are currently ineligible to be vaccinated will be required to wear face coverings in Youth Activities spaces and in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique; and, while not required, we continue to strongly recommend these Guests wear a face covering in all other indoor locations.
  • As previously shared, face coverings are not required in outdoor locations while onboard our ships.

Face coverings may be required in ports of call based on local government requirements, including in some areas at Disney Castaway Cay. Masks should also be worn in the cruise terminal during the boarding and screening process, as well as during disembarkation. Please be sure to review the information available on the Know Before You Go section of our website for answers to many frequently asked questions.

We appreciate you sailing with us and look forward to welcoming you aboard.

Sincerely,

The Cast and Crew
Disney Cruise Line

Sorry DCL this does not hack it. End all the mandates we all know now did nothing to stop anything. We will not cruise until you end all mandates. And restore all activities. Not paying full price for half the experience.

@Arthur – Agree 100%! This game is over. We all know how it was played. DCL can fill all their ships next week if they wanted to do so. We cancelled two trips in 2020 and one in 2021. I still have the refunded money available. Do you want it back, DCL? Make the all-clear call and we’ll book!

I agree Dawn. We have two cruises booked, but will cancel unless all mandates end. We have already cancelled more than twice that number. The good thing is we have discovered a lot of other vacation options for a lot less money and have been discovering new places and having more money to play 🙂

Not good enough. 5 cruises with DCL and at least $50,000. Cancelled 2 due to restrictions. Get rid of all mandates and we’ll be back. Not a minute sooner!

Just because you have been vaccinated and boosted doesn’t mean anything lol. You’re still the carrier for this virus. And let’s be real for a second here, what they aren’t telling you is that the vaccine itself tampers with your immune system and starts to take away your white blood cells. Each booster after that starts stripping your white blood cells away basically leaving you with a very weak immune system or no immune system at all. Look at the children who have been vaccinated but now have Myocarditis! Pfizer is now putting warning labels on their vaccines. The big wigs who are the CEO’s behind these companies who created the vaccines have cashed out and stepped down from their positions. I wonder why ?. So before you tell someone “who cares if you cruise or not!” You better think about doing whatever you can to keep your immune system intact lol.

Omg please. Don’t cruise. Don’t vaccinate. Don’t booster. I don’t care. No one cares- DCL doesn’t care. I’m tired of people thinking everything is all about them. Make your decision- get on with it. This whole world and cruising is not going to revolve around one or a small group. They are going to make financial and health decisions based on their bottom line. All these statements that DCL will miss out on yada yada yada – total nonsense. I made no comment on the vaccine by the way… good luck to all! I just got off the Wonder and it was fantastic!!! Loved every minute.

Wonderful.. so happy to read this. They have updated their site. Face masks optional after March 11th and no booster shots required. Very happy about this as I have 6 cruises coming up.

Very happy that our cruise leaving this Saturday will still require masks. I understand people’s desire to get back to pre-Covid conditions, but we are not quite there yet. Numbers are indeed heading down at the hospitals where I work, but we’ve lost too many patients, too many friends and family members, and we are still seeing more cases than we should. Quality face masks worn appropriately do decrease the spread of infection (which is unfortunately still possible even when individuals have tested negative).

@johnson Dean, good that your cruise still is what you want. When I got this message I booked another cruise for April.

@johnson Dean, You are right. Covid is not over with in a matter of weeks. It a virus that is mutating.People are refusing to test because they just don’t want to know. Misery loves company. How many of those infected will talk, share a table or laugh in your face without a mask knowing that they are infected. They will be the very one to laugh behind your back knowing that they shared their virus with you and your family with no remorse. The world we live in today is very selfish. Everything is about themselves and no one else. Keep thinking the way you are thinking and you might be able to save more of people like me and my family that are trying to do the right things for the interest of my fellow man. Thank you for your service and may God bless you and your family. Stay safe and enjoy your cruise.

@walt.. everyone who cruises is tested before they are allowed to board so I highly doubt anyone knowingly will spread this at your dinner table.

We sailed the Thanksgiving cruise on the Fantasy. TBH, the masking requirements weren’t an issue and this was the first cruise were not a single person in our group left the ship with even a sniffle. I hope DCL keeps majority of the protocols in place. Changing Cabanas over to cafeteria style is a lot more sanitary.

Personally, I am thrilled with the removal of the mask mandates on the cruise line. We are vaccinated and boosted, and past ready to trust in that. We also fully support anyone who chooses to mask in doing so.

Does mean face coverings( face mask) guests e.g. adult of any age, kids 7 and 12 year old and teenagers will still have to wear face coverings(face mask) at Walt Disney Theatre and the youth activities and bibbidi bibbidi boutique.

I have a cruise booked for November 2022 and I hope by then my 4yo doesn’t have to wear a mask and be segregated from her own Sibling in the kids club.
Why are they doing this? They are sleeping in the same room and eating at the same table, but can’t play together in a kids club?
    C’mon this makes zero sense.

I just hope by November some common sense prevails and we can sail like normal.
