My wife and I were on the WONDER in 2012 when it changed the Pacific Coast cruise into the Pixar cruise. Not that that was bad, it was actually a great time as the whole cruise was Pixar themed, not just for one day. Remy was my favorite character photo op.
I think that DCL will no doubt move the Star Wars Day at sea to the WISH since it has the galactic lounge. We did the SW cruise on the FANTASY 4 years ago and it was excellent. From the decorations, cabin gift, food and characters, a whole day of fun. You do have to make reservations for the photo ops as soon as you can as the time slots book fast, especially Darth Vader and Chewbacca. Since I did not have any SW costume to wear, I brought my Star Trek Deep Space 9 uniform. Actually got a lot of compliments from passengers. Although Darth Vader said to me “I feel your loyalties are divided.” in our photo op!
Could the SWDAS be moving to the Wish? They do have that new Star Wars themed bar??
Anything is possible and I would be surprised if SWDAS disappears.
Booked the January 8th sailing. It’s gonna be a blast!
Do we think there would still be a pirate night on this cruise? Not sure if this would be an addition or a substitution for it offhand, as it’s been a while since my last cruise!
Typically, the themed event’s deck party replaces pirates.
