Oh What a Wonderful Day as the Disney Wonder Resumes Passenger Service

Today, is more than just Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, it is the Disney Wonder’s first normal passenger cruise thus completing the Disney Cruise Line fleet’s restart. After 1 year, 6 months, and 12 day layoff for the the Disney Wonder is sailing her first full revenue cruise since operations ceased following her return to San Diego on Friday, March 20, 2020.

Good luck to the cast and crew of the Disney Wonder as they welcome back guests! Be sure to visit the San Diego webcam later today to view the sail away.

The Disney Wonder’s first voyage back is a 4-Night Baja Cruise from San Diego featuring a stop in Cabo San Lucas bookended by two wonderful days at sea. The Disney Wonder will return to San Diego on Tuesday morning for a 3-Night Baja Cruise with a stop in Ensenada. The Disney Wonder restart sailings are somewhat unique as they are the first ship to visit a traditional port of call whereas the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have only called on Castaway Cay forgoing the typical stop in Nassau during their initial restart with the Disney Magic sailing with just days at sea in Europe.

Are you sailing on any of the Disney Wonder voyages?

Chris, got this info from someone who was just on a 4 night: The HalloweenParty was the 2nd Night – they had two rotations for the MouseQuerade deck party to keep with social distancing. PirateNight was the 3rd night, when we were leaving Cabo & there was no deck party but that was the night with the DisneyEverAfter fireworks. There were two theater musicals: Frozen & DisneyDreams, frozen was the first two nights then DD was the last two nights.

Does anybody know why the Holiday 2022 schedule for all the sisters has been published, but not for the Wonder? Trying to set my New Year’s cruise and she is my favorite, but so far I have booked on the Magic.

So excited to see that the Wonder has resumed cruises. My next cruise is on November 8th on the Magic, and I can’t wait. It’s been way too long!!! Hope everyone has a very Magical Time on the Wonder!!!
