Disney Magic at Sea UK Staycation Operational Changes Surrounding Reserved Shows, Gym, and Pools

Disney Cruise Line is sending emails to guests booked aboard the Disney Magic for upcoming UK Staycations with some important information regarding some changes taking place onboard. Guests will are no longer required to pre-book theatre performances. Due to increased theater capacity, guests are now able able to select from one of the three scheduled performances of Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic. Guests may choose to attend the most convenient show time for their party and they are even permitted to attend a second performance.

There is also a change in the gym, or Fitness Center. Guests are no longer required to pre-reserve time to workout in the fitness center. Special classes in the fitness center are still based on a reservation system which can be booked on board. Face coverings are required when entering and leaving the Fitness Center, but are not required when actively working out.

The virtual queue system for the Goofy Pool Deck and AquaLab has been eliminated, however, only the virtual part – there will still be a physical queue.

Below is a copy of the email sent to guests which I would like to thank Paul T for sharing.

Dear GUEST

We look forward to welcoming you aboard and want to share some important information about your cruise.

At this time, we have adjusted the show order and increased capacity in the Walt Disney Theatre to eliminate the need to reserve a seating time for the performance prior to sailing. Guests will now be able to view Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic during one of three scheduled performances on a specific day during the sailing. Guests are free to attend their preferred performance time.

Once onboard, Guests will see the performances listed as an activity in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and may attend the most convenient show time for their party. You may even attend a second performance if you wish. Any previously reserved performance will be removed from your plans prior to sailing.

In addition, Guests 18 years of age and older no longer need to pre-reserve a time to utilize the Fitness Center. If you pre-reserved a time in the Fitness Center, know that it will also be removed from your plans. Specialized classes in the Fitness Center will continue to be available for reservations onboard the ship. Face coverings are required when entering and leaving the Fitness Center, but are not required when actively working out.

We have also eliminated the onboard virtual queue to access the Goofy Pool Deck Area and AquaLab Deck Areas. Guests will now join a physical queue for the pools and water play areas. Please see a Crew Member on deck for assistance.

As a reminder, physical distancing measures in our terminals and areas of our ships such as upper decks, dining rooms, food and beverage locations, lounges, theaters, walkways, elevators, pools, queues and other common spaces are in place.  Signage throughout the ship reminds Guests and Crew to practice physical distancing.

We appreciate you sailing with us and hope you enjoy this added flexibility during your sailing.

Sincerely,

    No masks in the gym?!

    With unvaccinated passengers?

That’s got to be the single stupidest decision they’ve made yet.
