Over at the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs, you can now find a limited time Disney Cruise Line pop up store featuring a broad assortment of typically onboard and shopDisney exclusive merchandise.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, the limited time offering will be available through early September. The offerings include Disney Cruise Line Wave and Sail Away Minnie Mouse collections, as well as a selection from Castaway Cay. The pop up shop will feature Loungefly bags, a luggage set, nautical-themed spirit jerseys, T-shirts, and even matching styles for adults and kids so you and the family can all match.
This afternoon, I took a break from my errands and stopped at Disney Springs to wander over to the Marketplace Co-Op to take a closer look
Inside Marketplace Co-Op there is a 1:200 scale model of the Disney Dream. The Disney Cruise ship models are significantly larger than those you may be accustomed to seeing around at the various Walt Disney Work Resort hotels.
The same scale model for the Disney Fantasy is in the adjacent PhotoPass Studio.
But wait, there’s more! Just across from Marketplace Co-Op, you can now get order Strawberry Daiquiris and Pina Coladas from Dockside Margaritas. Plus, while supplies last, the drinks will be served in the Disney Cruise Line embarkation glass which up til now has been an onboard exclusive. The Disney Cruise Line drinks in the souvenir cup at Dockside Margaritas will set you back $16.75.
Finally, the Disney PhotoPass Studio is offering some themed digital background, also available for a limited time. According to the PhotoPass Cast Members I spoke with, there are two backgrounds – a closeup of a ship, and another with the ship in the background. Unfortunately, previews of the backdrops were not readily available, but the photo ops are available now.
Is there anyway to purchase merchandise to be shipped? I’m not in Florida, but would love the opportunity to get some of these items!
There is some limited merchandise available from shopDisney.
Scott, is there any possibility that the pop shop would ship merchandise? I doubt it. But really would love to get my hands on the Castaway Cay blue and white Hawaiian shirt. Do you think they might continue to sell some of these items on ShopDisney? Tried to dig out a phone number, but no go. Going to be in northern FL next week, but no plans to drive down to Orlando. Thanks.
Andrew, back in the day you could call and they’d ship items from the stores. I am not sure if this is still the case since shopDisney started to sell select Disney Parks Merchandise. You can try emailing email@example.com with your mail order request.
