Disney Cruise Line released their Summer 2021 itineraries today. As expected the Disney Magic will return to Europe and the Disney Wonder spending the summer in Alaska. The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will remain at Port Canaveral offering Bahamian and Caribbean cruises.

The Disney Magic is the lone ship charting new courses in 2021. The Magic will call on 3 new European ports, Kefalonia, Greece, Visby, Sweden, and Eidfjord, Norway. In all, the Disney Magic will offer 15 new itineraries during the summer of 2021.

The Disney Fantasy will play host to Disney Vacation Club for 5-night Western Caribbean Members Cruise in mid-June 2021.

Today’s release extends the available sail dates through the summer months of 2021 allowing guest to plan vacations more than one year out, as well as take advantage of opening day pricing for some of the new itineraries.

Although the dates were announced today, general booking will not open until Friday February 28th. However, there will be a tiered booking period beginning Monday September 30th.

• Tuesday February 25th – Platinum Castaway Club members & Disney’s Golden Oaks residents
• Wednesday February 26th – Gold Castaway Club members
• Thursday February 27th – Silver Castaway Club members, Adventures by Disney Insiders, and DVC members who have not previously sailed with DCL
• Friday February 28th, first time cruisers will be able to book.

If you’re an existing Castaway Club member, simply log in to your account now to verify your Castaway Club status, so you’ll be all set to book on your designated date. Alternatively, you can call (800) 388-4513 starting at 8:00 AM Eastern Time or contact your travel agent.

Golden Oak Club Members should contact Golden Oak Club Member Services, Disney Vacation Club Members wishing to book with points will need to call Member Services at (800) 800-9800. To make a cash-only booking, call Disney Cruise Line at (866) 325-6348. Finally, Adventures by Disney Insiders call (800) 388-4513 – or contact your travel agent.

Castaway Club members can book online beginning Monday! The only caveat is that this is for new bookings only as the website is still not set up to move a placeholder to a new booking. Those types of bookings will still require a phone call. For those having issues search the new cruises based on your Castaway Club status, you can try this solution I discovered during a previous release.

The following bears repeating, please do NOT try calling today to book; this will just clog up the phone lines and bog down the reservation cast members. There may be people attempting to book an available cruise vacation today.

Speaking of opening day, here is a look at opening day prices for the Summer 2021 sailings.

For those looking for Fall 2021 dates, we anticipate the next release to occur sometime in May or early-June based on the historical itinerary release cycle.

Disney Magic Summer 2021 Sailings

The Disney Magic will end her time in Miami embarking on the 2021 Eastbound Transatlantic cruise on May 9, 2021. Once in Europe the Disney Magic will sail some familiar itineraries including another summer with sailings calling on the Greek Isles. The Magic will call on 3 new European ports, Kefalonia, Greece, Visby, Sweden, and Eidfjord, Norway. In all, the Disney Magic will offer 15 new itineraries during the summer of 2021.

Disney Wonder Summer 2021 Sailings

The Disney Wonder will begin her summer sailings season in Vancouver on May 17th after ending the previously announced 5-night reposition cruise from San Diego. In 2020, Disney Cruise Line reverted to only offering 7-night itineraries to Alaska, the standard and an alternate 7-night itinerary which includes Icy Strait Point instead of Skagway. The 2021 Alaskan season for the Disney Wonder does include a longer 9-night voyage to Hubbard Glacier, Sitka, and Victora as well as a corresponding 5-night to Dawes Glacier and Ketchikan. The final bookable sailing announced is the September 6, 2021 7-night Alaskan.

Disney Fantasy Summer 2021 Sailings – DVC Members Cruise

The Disney Fantasy spend the the summer of of 2021 sailing primarily 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises with Saturday departures from Port Canaveral. However, there are some unique offerings including 3-, 4-, and 5-night Bahamian sailings and a return to the Southern Caribbean. The new sailings begin with the May 29th 4-night Bahamian cruise and the latest bookable cruise at this time, a 7-night Western Caribbean departs on September 25, 2021.

Disney Cruise Line Returns to Greece and Offers an Exciting Array of Itineraries for Families in Summer 2021

CELEBRATION, Fla. (Feb. 24, 2020) — In summer 2021, Disney Cruise Line will sail a variety of itineraries around the world including a return to Greece – back by popular demand – and exciting and varied European destinations, Alaska ports and tropical locales. Plus, Disney Cruise Line will visit three first-time ports of call in Greece, Sweden and Norway.

Explore the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Beyond

In summer 2021, a new collection of itineraries is part of Disney Cruise Line’s grand tour of Europe. From May through July, the Disney Magic will visit captivating locales in the Mediterranean including the Greek Isles, Spain and the French Riviera. From late July through September, the ship will transport guests to bucket-list destinations in the British Isles, northern Europe, the Baltic, Iceland and Norwegian fjords.

The Disney Magic will return to the awe-inspiring beauty of Greece in summer 2021, where guests can marvel at the stunning landscapes and archeological wonders of the region, like Santorini with its iconic whitewashed cliffside dwellings and Mykonos with beautiful beaches along the azure Aegean Sea. Four special voyages will visit the Greek Isles, with cruises ranging from eight to 11 nights.

Each of these unique Mediterranean itineraries combines a selection of stops in Greece with visits to other notable cities in the region. Noteworthy ports of call in Greece include Katakolon near ancient Olympia – home to the first Olympic Games – and the gorgeous Greek island of Kefalonia, a first-time port of call for Disney Cruise Line.

One cruise features a stop at the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” The walled medieval Old City of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers spectacular seaside views and centuries-old cobblestoned lanes to explore.

Additional first-time ports of call for Disney Cruise Line include the medieval city of Visby, Sweden, considered to be one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Scandinavia and the village of Eidfjord, Norway, home to geographic wonders and situated at the foot of Hardangervidda, Norway’s largest national park.

Adventures in Alaska

The Disney Wonder will return to Alaska for the 2021 summer season to explore the region’s breathtaking natural vistas, glaciers and wildlife.

Departing from Vancouver, Canada, seven-night itineraries will visit Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Dawes Glacier. One nine-night Alaskan adventure will visit Hubbard Glacier, Icy Strait Point, Sitka, Juneau and Ketchikan. A special five-night cruise will travel to Dawes Glacier and Ketchikan.

Each Alaska sailing will offer adventure and fun in port and aboard the ship, with stunning scenery, exciting Port Adventures and special Disney Cruise Line touches that will bring the splendor and spirit of “The Last Frontier” to life onboard.

Tropical Vacations to the Caribbean and Bahamas

In summer 2021, Disney Cruise Line will embark on a variety of vacation voyages to tropical destinations in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Ranging from three- to nine-night sailings, the varied itineraries allow guests to experience charming island cultures, sunbathe on golden beaches and revel in local marketplaces. Most itineraries include a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

In addition to seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, near Orlando, Florida, and the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disney Fantasy will embark on an assortment of itineraries throughout the summer of 2021. These include a six-night sailing and an extended nine-night Caribbean cruise.
