Today, September 11, 2019, the Disney Magic made her first call to Belfast, Northern Ireland during the 2019 7-night British Isles cruise from Dover which departed on September 8th.
Belfast Harbour, the Gateway to Ireland, was established in 1847, operates as the principal maritime gateway on the island of Ireland. The 400 year-old history of Belfast Harbour is inextricably linked with the development and progress of the City of Belfast. Belfast is the birthplace of the Titanic and home to the world’s largest Titanic visitor experience. Titanic Belfast explores the Titanic story in a fresh and insightful way with over nine interactive galleries and innovative interactive features.
Belfast Harbor shared some video of the Disney Magic’s arrival earlier today on Twitter.
In honor of the inaugural call, Belfast Harbour officials joined officers from the Disney Magic for a traditional maritime plaque exchange.
Unfortunately, this is the first and only call to Belfast for the Disney Magic. The 2020 British Isles cruise replaces Belfast & a day at sea with visits to
Cobh (Cork) and Plymouth, England.
We’d love to hear from those who have cruised to Belfast. What is your best tip, or must do in Belfast? I know I’d be at the Titanic Experience.
Giants Causeway was incredible!
