Disney Cruise Line recently added a number of accessible excursions for ports around the World through a partnership with Accessible Travel Solutions. These new port adventure offerings aim to take guests beyond the windshield view and off the bus into the action. Disney feels their no-hassle excursions are perfect for seniors and those with limited mobility taking guests on step-free routes at historical sites, wheelchair-friendly tropical beaches and enchanting, easy-to-navigate town squares, national parks, museums and more.
Below is a list of the accessible shore excursions specially selected by Disney Cruise Line.
The tours are set up to take guests to a destination in comfortable vehicles equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps. Other accessible conveniences include step-free routes and attractions as well as bathrooms with wide doors. All this, plus professional tour guides familiar with serving Guests with disabilities.
To check availability of the accessible Port Adventure, Disney Cruise Line is asking that you submit an email request to Disney Cruise Line’s Special Services when your cruise reservation is paid in full and you have access to your Castaway Club booking window.
Requests are processed in the order in which they are received. A minimum number of participants is required. If the minimum is not met, Guests may have the option of booking the tour as a private experience at an additional cost.
Pricing for private tours varies depending on the number of participants. A member of Special Services team will reach out 60 days prior to sailing to let you know if the minimum participants have been met. Alternately, you can also request to reserve one of these experiences as a private experience.
