Disney Cruise Line has been alerting guests and travel agents with clients with small plane Port Adventures booked in Ketchikan, Alaska select excursion has been canceled. The cancelations are a result of the tragedy that occurred earlier this month when two floatplanes carrying passengers from Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess collided.

Disney made the decision to cancel the following Port Adventures operated by the company involved in the midair collision while these matters are investigated by officials.

• Alaska Bear Adventure (Seasonal) (KE17)
• Amazing Misty Fjords by Floatplane (KE16)
• Exclusive Flightseeing and Crab Feast (KE32)
• Exclusive Private Air Tour (KE18)
• Misty Fjords Boat and Floatplane Adventure (KE25)
• Neets Bay Bear Adventure and Flightseeing (Seasonal) (KE24)

Guests on the first two Disney Wonder Alaskan Cruises were notified on a week-by-week basis. However, Disney has gone one step further, last week, they removed the aforementioned Port Adventures from their website altogether.

Guest with these Port Adventure will see that they will be automatically removed from their stateroom account. Disney is encouraging guests to check availability and select another Port Adventure at DisneyCruise.com.

A recent report states, Taquan Air has been working with the FAA, and is scheduled to resume passenger service today. Disney mentioned in the email above they will continue to monitor developments, and based on findings it is plausible these Port Adventures may resume later this summer.
