Disney Cruise Line quietly revised the Disney Magic’s August 1, 2019 7-night Northern European cruise itinerary by changing the August 3rd port from Nynashamn, Sweden to Stockholm, Sweden. Stockholm is roughly an hour train ride from Nynashamn which would have left a number of Stockholm centric port adventures with over 2 hours of travel time. The change will help guests enjoy more of the scheduled 9:00 AM to 4:45 PM ashore time in Stockholm.
Until the most recent itinerary announcement for 2020 summer voyages, Disney Cruise Line’s website and itinerary publications have shown the port as Nynashamn, Sweden. The sail date brochure with the new 2020 summer dates no listed Nynashamn and both 2019 and 2020 Northern Europe cruise were advertised with Stockholm.
According to guest booked on this cruise, DCL alerted guests back in January.
Originally, your sailing was scheduled to stop in Nynashamn, Sweden, as a gateway to Stockholm. We have recently learned that the ship will be able to dock in Stockholm, on Saturday, August 3, instead of docking at Nynashamn. In addition, we are now scheduled to arrive back in Copenhagen at 8:00 a.m. on August 8, 2019, with an estimated Guests ashore time of 9:30 a.m. We recommend that Guests flying out of Copenhagen on this day schedule their flights after 2:00 p.m.
Although, Nynashamn remains an active port of call page on Disney website (at least for now), there are no cruises associated with the port and the August 1, 2019 cruise has been updated to Stockholm.
Additionally, Stockholm’s port calendar has been updated to show the Disney Magic will port in Stockholm at the Stadsgarden berth on August 3, 2019.

Wow. There were many reasons we cancelled this cruise after booking it…but skipping Stockholm was one of the biggest reasons behind that. This is a great change.
Nice move ! The crossing experience is wonderfull with the Magic so close to both to shore on both side.
