Parents magazine recently recognized Disney Cruise Line with an “Editor Pick” award for having the most to offer children onboard its ships.
The magazine’s editor praised Disney’s extensively themed spaces designed just for kids, including Andy’s Room with a Slinky Dog slide from the Disney-Pixar film Toy Story and the Marvel Super Hero Academy where “recruits” are awed by Iron Man’s suit of armor, Captain America’s shield and Thor’s hammer.
For families, the editor gave accolades to the near-endless variety of games, musical shows and festivities, including a pirate-themed deck party with fireworks, and abundant Disney character interactions.
“Disney Cruise Line delivers a family cruise vacation experience that combines the magic of Disney with the wonder of exploring different parts of the world,” said Jeff Vahle, President of Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Golden Oak, Adventures by Disney and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. “Winning awards – especially this one from Parents magazine – is a testament to our focus on creating unforgettable cruise experiences for all ages and speaks to the teamwork and creativity of our Cast and Crew.”
