Full Slate of Astoria, Oregon Port Adventures for the Disney Wonder's 2018 Inaugural Visit • The Disney Cruise Line Blog

Disney Cruise Line recently added a selection of port adventures for guests to choose when sailing to Astoria, Oregon, USA aboard the Disney Wonder in 2018. The Disney Wonder is scheduled to make an inaugural call to Astoria, Oregon on September 11th, during 4-night California Coastline Cruise from Vancouver to San Diego.

This sailing has a really great excursion, Filmed in Astoria. While the area has been used in a few films, arguably the biggest was The Goonies. I remember when this sailing was first announced, all I could think about was how great it would be on a sailing that stops near the Goon Docks.

If you just want to tour Astoria on your own, check out TravelAstoria.com and definitely consider stopping at the Oregon Film Museum which is in the old Clatsop County Jail AKA the jail at the beginning of the Goonies. According to their website they are open daily in September from 10a – 5p, admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children (6-17).
