Disney Cruise Line merchandise is not readily accessible shoreside except for the limited offerings from the Shop Disney Parks app and the small pop up store at Disney Springs. There is however, a diamond in the rough at both Orlando Premium outlet locations called Disney’s Character Warehouse. The Character Warehouse is a Disney operated (run by actual Cast Members!) outlet store. These Disney outlet locations are reminiscent of the good old days of outlet shopping where you could find the the surplus from last season not the current trend of made for the outlet stuff with slight discounts off of retail.
Over at Disney’s Character Warehouse you can occasionally find some incredible deals from stuffed animals to limited edition artwork. Consider this post an introduction to the Disney’s Character Warehouse outlet locations. There are two in the Orlando area close to Disney property (Vineland) and Universal Resort (International Drive) than provide you with a recurring look at the offerings. There are other locations at other outlets, but for simplicity, I’m going to point out the two in Central Florida.

Such it the case with merchandise, the selections are always changing and it would require multiple visits a week just to cover the new offerings. Plus, chances are by the time you make it to the store the items shown will already be gone. If you want regular updates I encourage you to check out Derek Burgan’s monthly update in his The Magic, The Memories, and Merch posts on TouringPlans.com.
Now here is a look at all the Disney Cruise Line merchandise we spotted at the Vineland location in mid-January 2017 beginning with some general merchandise.
Can you Disney Believe these hair clips. Just Disney Imagine the possible future uses. I guess, one can dream while sleeping on one of these Very MerryTime pillows.
The offerings include kids clothing.
As well as adult offerings. The selection was heavy on Alaska, Star Wars Day at Sea and New York merchandise from the Magic’s recent sailings.
And a selection of women’s shirts.
Bottom line, if you are interested in some great deals on Disney merchandise of all types and you have some time to spare during your time in Orlando it may be worth checking out Disney’s Character Warehouse. Just a bit of caution, the stores can be hectic. My best advice is to arrive when the outlets open for the best possible shopping experience.
I didn’t even see that Christmas pillow when we were on the ship this year! Will have to go there when we are at WDW in October. Thanks for the info, Scott.
There are websites dedicated to buying this stuff and reselling them as souvenir surprise crates, like loot crate etc… with a crazy markup of course…
If you look, a lot of the Disney Parks merch on eBay is the same stuff from the outlets.
That’s awesome that they had DCL stuff at the Florida locations – often it seems like the eastern US stores have Disneyland stuff and the western stores have WDW, so I always assumed that the DCL stuff would end up out west since it’s primarily Florida based. I’ll have to check some of the northern locations next time I’m near one, too!
The Orlando ones have both WDW & Disneyland stuff. We did learn that Vineland does not get MagicBands due to the proximity to Disney property, but they are sometimes sold at the International Drive location.
I agree Sharon! I would have bought that pillow on our Disney Wonder Christmas Cruise but they didn’t have it! They had almost nothing relating to Christmas!!!
At http://blog.touringplans.com they give a monthly update on the warehouse. My last cruise we went before and I stocked up on pins for the officer trading.
Where else are these stores outside of Orlando
“Believe” and “Imagine” are probably the names of the next two ships
