Disney Cruise Line introduces seasonal pricing model for the Family Beach Cabanas at Castaway Cay. The $50 seasonal pricing increase started last Friday with the Disney Fantasy’s call to Castaway Cay on April 22, 2016 and will continue through September 24, 2016.
The new seasonal family beach cabana pricing schedule is as follows:
- April 22 – Sept. 24, 2017 – $599
- September 25, 2016 – Early March 2017 – $549
Guests with existing cabana reservations will be charged the rate they originally booked. Pricing for the Grand Family Cabana and the cabanas located at Serenity Bay remain unchanged.

Cabanas seem to be hard to come by no matter the season. I wish DCL would test the market by raising the prices so that people that really want cabanas will have an easier time in getting one.
I find the cabanas ridiculously expensive. Nevertheless I can understand people renting one during the hot summer months (I also tried bit did not get one). But I cannot see any reason why I should spent that much money in the Winter months.
I have to say that I am a bit concerned that DCL is losing some of its Magic as they obviously try to press the last cent out of everything.
Greedy, greedy, greedy! I’m done with Disney.
It is simply supply and demand.
I am not suggesting it, but I think DCL could almost double to cost and still see low to no availability.
This isn’t entirely unexpected and (dare I say) reasonable.
we would really love to rent one… but no way we can pay that…. I would love to hang out in one and be out the sun.
This is outrageously expensive.
Prices at DCL are now closer to ones found at luxury lines than to those for families.
Supply = Demand = Profit-!!! Disney is becoming less magic and more money. If Disney could find a way to charge you for the air you breath on your Disney vacation they would and they would pitch a story that it would be a magical experience to sell it and you know what, there would be some fools that would buy it.
Wow!! You people are really harsh! There are only so many cabanas on the island. People who have sailed with Disney in the past and have platinum status have first dibs. They are also the ones who can afford those prices and are willing to pay for the convenience. You are getting what you pay for. Other cruise companies nickel and dime you to death, never offer the quality our service that Disney offers. Maybe those who complain, should just book a cruise with carnival!!
