Disney Cruise Line Increases Cost of Future Cruise Voucher to $250

Effective December 5, 2015, Disney Cruise Line’s onboard booking program’s future cruise voucher (placeholder cruise) price increased $50 to $250 per stateroom.

The future cruise voucher allows Guests to book the onboard offer without booking a reservation for a specific sail date. The future cruise voucher was officially added in March 2015 to eliminate dummy bookings.

DCL Onboard Booking Placeholder 250 November 2015

Below is the Onboard Rebooking Offer fine print from DCL.

Travel must take place within 24 months of reservation to maintain booking benefits. Blackout dates apply to the Onboard Rebooking Offer, please inquire when booking a confirmed date or contact Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent for more details. Onboard credits, per stateroom, will vary based on sailing. $100 for sailing of 6-nights or less and $200 for sailings 7-nights and greater. Cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. Not valid on VGT, OGT, or IGT stateroom categories with restrictions or 2-night sailings.

Thank you Travel On A Dream for the visual proof of the price increase and Mark Kechula who pointed out there are no additional changes to the program as well as the others who contacted me this weekend about the change.

Reminder: Does this only lock you in on the on board credits-? By holding a future cruise voucher (placeholder cruise) what more does it offer-?

We were not told about this program and did not book last week when we were on because we wanted to sail summer 2017!!! Is there a way to get this offer still?
