Disney released the latest video in the Disney Magic Re-Imagined video series hosted by Danny Forster focusing primarily on the enhancements targeted for kids in the Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Club.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club
The Oceaneer Club open to children between the ages of 3 and 12 will be gutted to make room for fairies, super heroes, larger than life toys, and a club fit for a Mouse! The idea for the re-themed space is a Magical Library where the oversized books serve as doorways into four unique spaces based on favorite characters, friends and heroes, Marvel Heroes!
Disney•Pixar Toy Story Room AKA Andy’s Room
The pirate ship and slide will make way for a Andy’s Room complete with a larger than life, two-story, bed with a Slinkly Dog slide! YES, there will be a slide in the Oceaneer Club!!! Slinky Dog has been stretched from the top of Andy’s bed in a spiral slide.
Mickey Mouse Club
The Mickey Mouse Club will be dedicated to the Mouse who started it all, and provide children with a place to create unique crafts and color in the World of Mickey.
Pixie Hollow
The Disney Fairies will be arriving on the Disney Magic with a space that will house the Princess dress-up costumes and create your own Fairies computers. This space is similar to the area on the Dream & Fantasy.
Marvel Avengers’ Academy
The Avengers will have an all new floating command post when the Disney Magic re-imerges from dry dock. This is an all new experience for Disney Cruise Line as well as the first major use of Marvel aside from the movies. The Avengers’ Academy invites young crime-fighters into this high-tech command post used by The Avengers to plan and train for special missions. During the course of the cruise, kids will have the opportunity sharpen their super hero skills and by the end of the cruise become their favorite super hero.
Are you ready for the best part? According to Imagineer, Joe Lanzisero, the real Captain America shield and Iron Man suite will be on display! I cannot wait for the open house to see these items for myself!
Oceaneer Lab
The Oceaneer Lab will also be getting a nautical themed facelift. The space will be full of high-tech gear to bring out the inner-pirate. Joe Lanzisero described the Oceaneer Lab a “mashup of Jules Vern and Pirates of the Caribbean”.
I know my daughter is thrilled that the Disney Magic will still have a slide. What do you think your children will enjoy the most?
