The [Disney_Dream] came to the aid of two distressed boaters adrift in the Bahamas on Wednesday according to a story from the Orlando Sentinel. The Dream was sailing on a 4-Night Bahamian cruise enjoying her day at sea when a distress call came in.
Crew members from the Dream launched one of the life boats and picked up the pair from the adrift boat, a Cobalt with Florida registration.
The two Americans rescued were brought aboard the Disney Dream and provided medical attention and food. Disney Cruise Line notified the U.S. Coast Guard and the pair returned to Port Canaveral onboard the Dream on Thursday.
“We are proud of our Disney Dream crew members, who skillfully demonstrated their training and commitment to maritime protocols around saving lives at sea,” Disney Cruise Line
Dan Tressler, II, a passenger onboard the Dream provided a series of photos to the Orlando Sentinel.
