Merry Christmas! I wish I was writing this from Castaway Cay today, but no such luck. In fact, none of the ships are calling on the island today. The Magic, Wonder, and Dream are at Sea while the Fantasy is in Costa Maya.
The first thing you see as the ship begins to back in (aside from the fake palm tree) is the Christmas tree surrounded by fake snow, Santa’s sled, and two snow… err… sand people.
The tree is decorated in an island theme complete with shells and small life buoys.
Santa’s sleigh sits empty next to the towering evergreen tree.
The decorations continue to the Castaway Cay Post Office.
The Castaway Air Tram is decorated as a reindeer.
Some of my favorite decorations are the Santa Claus wreaths along the pathways. The Santa’s are fashioned out of small lobster buoys.
I did find it odd that the decorations stopped along the walkway, but then again Cinderella’s Castle only has lights on the front. Once you get to Scuttles Cove, the decorations are done.
I hope you and your families have a safe and wonderful Christmas.
