Disney Cruise Line has changed the August 4, 2012 7-Night Western Caribbean sailing to a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean in order to keep the [Disney_Fantasy], her crew, and passengers safely out of Ernesto’s projected path.
The new itinerary will follow the typical 7-Night Eastern Itinerary.
Who knows what will happen next week as the next system continues to develop off the coast of Africa. Maybe the August 11th Eastern will become a Western???

Tropical Weather Update
As you may be aware, Tropical Storm Ernesto is predicted to strengthen into a hurricane over the weekend and move through the Western Caribbean early next week. Due to the possible impact of this storm over the next few days in the Western Caribbean, we have modified the itinerary of the August 4, 2012, sailing of the Disney Fantasy to include ports of call a safe distance away from the storm.
The revised itinerary will be as follows:
- Saturday – Port Canaveral
- Sunday – Day at Sea
- Monday – Day at Sea
- Tuesday – St. Maarten
- Wednesday – St. Thomas
- Thursday – Day at Sea
- Friday – Disney’s Castaway Cay
- Saturday – Port Canaveral
The safety and well-being of our guests and crew members is our highest priority, and we always monitor approaching weather systems closely and are prepared to alter our ship’s courses and itineraries to navigate away from severe weather.
The Disney Dream is currently sailing 4- and 5-night sailings in The Bahamas, away from the storm’s projected path. Likewise, the Disney Wonder is sailing 7-night Alaskan cruises from Seattle, WA, and the Disney Magic is sailing on a 5-night New England Coast cruise from the port of New York. Both are unaffected by this storm system.
