Disney Cruise Line has been avoiding Jamaica for years, but now the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) is trying to change just that. The Jamaica Gleaner is reporting that the PAJ recently invited three Disney Cruise Line executives to see Falmouth, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay.

Jamaica has become the fastest-growing cruise destination in the Caribbean thanks to the new Falmouth Pier. PAJ is hoping that by securing DCL that this will place Jamaica the list of family-friendly destinations.

PAJ officials are hopefully based on the recent meeting that Disney will consider adding Jamaica as a future port of call. Disney has yet to release Magic and Wonder itineraries for late 2013… So, October 2013 would be the earliest Jamaica could be added to any itineraries.
