| We had a very good tour guide for this port adventure (and wish we had gotten her for our Alnick Castle adventure later in this trip). The tour itself was fine, but the time at the museum seemed very rushed as it was a very busy day. We had to crowd in for the pre-show movie before the museum, and the gift shop was a madhouse. Lunch and the youth activity were across the street. Lunch was the same for adults and children, and the time left over before the bus returned didn't give the children time enough to finish painting their Peter Rabbit ceramic (in fact 4 months later ours is still in the bag partially painted). My husband and I took the short 1/2 hour break during the activity to go buy snacks for our daughter to eat on the bus back since she didn't eat the meat pie lunch served. My daughter enjoyed the museum, having a new cruise friend on the bus ride and meeting Peter Rabbit. She didn't really talk about this port adventure any more than the others we did without Youth Activity. Tour begins with the bus ride to the lake, then waiting for the boat. The boat ride, walk to the museum (uphill but not too terribly far), museum, lunch w/Peter Rabbit meet, youth activity and bus ride back to the port. Liverpool was a very welcoming port. There was a carnival with rides near the port, and the crowds to see the ship and wave us off were large and amazing. We love to return one day and spend the time exploring the city itself. | ||
