I selected this Port Adventure for myself and only the Castaway Ray option for my mom. We both were able to reserve the 10am timeslot for the stingrays so arrived on the island around 9:30. We really liked the stingray encounter. It's amazing how they are trained to come up to the feeding stations and eat off the plates. Our initial guide for this part of the excursion was great, giving us tips and info about the rays. The snorkeling in the stingray lagoon was just okay; I didn't see many fish.

I then picked up my inner tube to go floating in the family beach. I let myself drift and then they pulled the buoys in closer to shore; I was out too close to them and made a very ungraceful swim back to shore, towing my inner tube along.

Then I decided to try snorkeling in the lagoon. I didn't see any maps or information (and certainly wasn't told any of this) about "beginner" vs "advanced" trails, or buoys indicating where underwater statues and shipwrecks could be found. This wasn't a great experience. I did see some fish, and some of their underwater habitats but purely by accident. As another reviewer noted, snorkeling is very tiring, even with the buoyancy vest!

I ended up not taking advantage of the bicycle rental as we wanted to go back on the ship to use the Rainforest Room. Next time, I would just do the Getaway Package without the stingray add on, and manage my time better (or take a longer cruise!). Now that I know about the tips for snorkeling, I think that would be better on the next try.

I picked a 3 for this adventure because we did not have enough time to do all 4 things. The stingray feeding was awesome. They have these platforms that the stingrays swim up on and suck food out from between your fingers. The bike ride was ok, it was fairly hot that day and spending an hour or so out biking just wasn't all that much fun. We ended up missing the snorkeling. Next time, I would rather snorkel and skip the bike ride. But the price of this adventure was great, even if you don't end up doing everything.

This is a great value, but the "3" rating is due to the fact that I think you can't fit that many activities into one visit to CC without sacrificing relaxing time. Each element of the package is fantastic though. Pick 2 or at most 3 and choose one another package. Remember that snorkeling is deceptively tiring.
