Swan Resort Undergoing a $3 Million Lobby & Public Space Renovation

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort announced their next refurbishment phase, a $3 million renovation of the Swan Resort’s lobby. The renovation includes a transformation of the Swan Resort’s lobby, public spaces and coffee bar. The new Swan spaces will incorporate the water theme of the redesigned guest rooms and Dolphin lobby, providing an elegant, classic look to the resort’s lobby, rotunda, front desk, lounging areas, and corridors.

Features like lantern lights and sconces, Bahama shutters and palm leaf designs will transport visitors to a serene tropical oasis. The Swan’s coffee bar, Java Bar, will also receive a refreshed look as part of the redesign.

The Swan renovation follows on the heels of the resort’s largest renovation last fall, a $150 million, three-year renovation featuring the transformation of the Dolphin Resort’s lobby as well as resort-wide guest room and meeting space refurbishments.

The Swan Resort will remain open to guests throughout the renovation as the project will take place in phases over the next few months with the project slated to finish by the end of 2018.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort features one of our favorite on property restaurants, Todd English’s bluezoo and hosts an incredible food & wine festival in late-October.

Scott, are the Dolphin and Swan owned by Disney? Many years ago they were owned by one of the bigger hotel companies. I wondered if Disney had taken them over, or, how Disney holds a third party accountable for maintenance and refurbishment of the facilities. I have attended conventions there and never thought they were overly nice. Glad to see them being refurbished.
