Watch the Disney Wish Christening Ceremony Live from Port Canaveral, Florida

The stage is set and the Disney Wish Christening ceremony is about to get underway at Disney Cruise Line’s terminal at Port Canaveral. Last week, Disney Cruise Line revealed a magical twist to the long-standing maritime tradition of naming a ship godmother, when they announced all Make-A-Wish children, including past, present and future wish recipients, will be honored as godchildren of the Disney Wish.

Disney Wish Make A Wish Godchildren

During the Disney Wish christening ceremony, Make-A-Wish children will recite the blessing for the newest ship. The event will celebrate Make-A-Wish as a key part of making wishes come true aboard all Disney Cruise Line ships.

Beginning at 11:00 AM ET, the live stream event (linked here and embedded below) will offer viewers a look inside the Disney Wish and will feature special guests, spectacular musical performances and characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars adventures.

Please join me the next few days as I will soon board the Disney Wish for today’s 3-night Christening Cruise as an invited guest of Disney Cruise Line. I look forward to sharing details from around the newest cruise ship.

The show met Disney standards. 2 things I was hoping for was an actual bottle “christening” the ship and a walk through on the ship by some camera. Oh well, I look forward to following your cruise.
I’d like to request that you cover the boat deck and the “running trail” please. There has been some debate about it being continuous or not.
    Thank you!

She is taking over the 3- and 4-night cruises from the Dream. These itineraries are a primary cruise option for those visiting Florida for a land and sea vacation with time before or after the cruise at Walt Disney World. Keep in mind, there are 2 additional Triton Class ships coming in 2024 and 2025 to expand the itinerary offering in Florida and around the world.

What is nightlife like for adults aboard the Disney wish? Are there any clubs or just the lounges?
