Port Canaveral Shares Important Details on How to View the Disney Wish Arrival on June 20, 2022

Today, Port Canaveral released its plan for public access to the Port for viewing the arrival of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, Disney Wish, scheduled to arrive early Monday morning, June 20th to Cruise Terminal 8 (CT8).

Please keep in mind, the following is subject to change.

Subject to change, currently the Disney Wish is expected to pass Jetty Park shortly after 5:00 a.m. and proceed to the West Turning Basin, where she will dock at CT8 by 5:40 a.m. Visitors may view the Disney Wish’s arrival and from Jetty
Park, or from The Cove district.

Access to viewing points at Port Canaveral will be limited, and traffic in and around the Port will be controlled. Jetty Park will open at 4 a.m. on Monday, June 20.

“We have anticipated this homecoming of the Disney Wish for some time, and we know that our Port community is excited to watch her arrive at the Port,” said Port CEO Capt. John Murray. “Our public safety team has worked with Brevard County Sheriff’s Office to ensure access to viewing points while maintaining our port wide focus on public safety.”

The Port’s plan was jointly developed by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), Canaveral Fire Rescue and Canaveral Port Authority Public Safety to minimize traffic congestion, ensure public safety, and promote a safe environment for Port employees, contractors, tenants, and the community.

Port Canaveral highly recommends that visitors and guests consider there may be limitations for public parking at the Port on Monday.

No drone photography will be permitted from the Port without prior approval of CPA’s Public Safety and Security Department.

Electronic signs on Port Canaveral roadways and intersections will advise motorists of road restrictions, as well as when parking capacity has been reached at designated parking areas.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies will monitor traffic, control key traffic intersections, ensure boater access to the Freddie Patrick Park boat ramps, and enforce parking on and around the Port.

Jetty Park

Jetty Park will open at 4 a.m. For those choosing to view the arrival of the Disney Wish from Jetty Park, the Port is advising vehicles to enter via George King Boulevard, and guests are reminded parking passes must be purchased online prior to arriving at the park.

A limited number of guaranteed-admission special parking passes are available at https://shop.portcanaveral.com/.

The Cove

Paved parking lot south of the Cove dining district will be open in the morning for the public. Following the Disney Wish’sarrival, Cove parking lot will be available for merchant patrons.

Boat Ramps

Freddie Patrick Boat Ramps and Rodney S. Ketcham Park Boat Ramps vehicle trailer parking will be open and available to boaters on a first come, first serve basis until capacity is reached. Boat Ramps parking lots are exclusively for boater vehicles and trailers using boat ramps. Boaters, at all times — whether parking at ramp lots or not — may access the ramps to drop their boat and tackle and seek parking elsewhere. Guests
at Water’s Edge Café may park their vehicles if parking is available.

Boaters, note that a security zone surrounding all cruise and cargo ships entering and exiting the Port will be enforced by the USCG and BCSO. The boat ramps will remain open at all times, however launching and arriving may be delayed.
