| Our Tour Guide was amazing! He was a native of the area and very knowledgeable about the island's history, local legends, and the surrounding area and very enthusiastic. We were one of the first cruises to return after Hurricane Irma and he shared with us how the island was recovering and working to get back to normal. The ice cream shop we stopped at was excellent! The stop in St. Martin (French side) did not include the described stop at the bakery because the bakery had been destroyed in the hurricane and the French side had not yet recovered to the extent the Dutch side had. That stop did still have some nice views, but the "shopping" in that stop was limited to some tents with touristy souvenirs due to the recent hurricane. | ||
