Disney Theme Park Merchandise provided a preview of the 2014 Halloween on the High Seas trading pin. The new Disney trading pin is scheduled to launch in October across the Disney Cruise Line fleet. This release date falls late into the Halloween on the High Seas cruises which begin in early September.
Disney Cruise Line launched an all new halloween experience aboard the Disney Dream in 2013 which will be expanded fleet wide in just a few weeks. Each ship will feature a unique pumpkin tree growing in the atrium that, with the help of the passengers, transform during the course each of the Halloween on the High Seas cruises this fall. We did not find any new sailings this week, but for the second week in a row the two double-dip (two stops at Castaway Cay) sailings aboard the Disney Wonder are available for US Military Personnel. Rates are available to book today through Sunday, August 24, 2014 while inventory lasts. During the past week, Disney Cruise Line introduced two new lower rate offers that are available for anyone to book and to make the offer even better, the sailings listed this week are all part of the Halloween on the High Seas cruises! The Miami sailings are October departures aboard the Disney Wonder with OGT staterooms starting at $125 per person per night. The new lower rate offer for sailings from Port Canaveral are all aboard the Disney Fantasy with VGT rates as low as $158 per person per night.
During the Disney Magic’s 2013 re-imagination, an all new water slide was installed called the AquaDunk. Borrowing from the AquaDuck, there is an acrylic loop-de-loop that extends about 20 feet over the port side of the ship and 112 feet above the water. I recall reading comments shortly after the announcement that some people were concerned about the AquaDunk’s impact on the classic look of the Disney Magic. Pandora Jewelry and The Walt Disney Company have announced a new 10-year strategic alliance that will begin this fall with PANDORA sponsoring Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park. Later this fall, select merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Vacation Club properties and Disney Cruise Line ships will begin selling the collections. Additionally two Disney merchandise locations, Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and La Mascarade d ‘Orleans in Disneyland Resort in California, will unveil unique retail installations, combining PANDORA’s sleek aesthetic and Disney’s creativity.
