An origin story for Mt. Rustmore:

"I drew up this idea for Mount Rustmore not so much as a photo op, but one of the highest elevations on the island, a place where true castaways could sign their name on the boiler plate in front of the sculpture, as surviviors of a ship wreck... W.D.I. as usual had to d!&k around for approvals since no one wants to take responsibility unless it's a success, so in my maverick manner I just went ahead and did the piece, with-out permission. W.D.I. gave me about 20 Abaconian natives for help, but in reality, to make things look good for local politics, I had my boys drag up those buoys and we had a painting lesson 2 nights in a row... Jim Durham and others there loved it.. but W.D. Animation had a cow, cause I was not approved to draw characters at that time... today I can draw Mickey with the magic 7 circles,, on bar napkins as long as I don't sell them. Oh by the way,, D.C.Lines corp was worried that they would be sued by Mount Rushmore,, I said OH KAY,, highest peak on Gorda Cay,, lets call it Mount Everust, pass it on to W.D.I. legal for research ..."
