Unlike it's sister suite, the Roy, the master suite has the bathroom portion of the suite by the windows and the bedroom and closets on the interior of the suite. On discussing this with the guests in the Roy suite, we believe the Roy's flipped configuration is more accessible to wheel chairs. The Walt is better for sleeping in later (due to the curtains and being in the back of the bathroom) but enjoys excellent lighting in the bathroom from all the walls of windows and has slightly more closet space (with doors rather than a walk in) and a vanity area that isn't in the Roy.
The master bath windows turn opaque at the press of a button, if you would rather shower in private. (This was very helpful when our kids were on the verandah.) The verandah walls are much higher than on the side facing verandahs, so even on extremely windy sea days, we were able to use the verandah. Due to odd acoustics of the windshield style glass verandah walls, you can hear every single word spoken by people above you on deck thirteen as they lean against the forward railing. Other than that, there weren't any odd noises. The room is absolutely as far forward as you can get a stateroom, so it can be a bit of a hike, particularly to get to Animator's Palate. In fairness, this didn't bother us much as we spent so much time in the suite. That being said, it was very convenient to the concierge lounge and the Quiet Cove. Our kids preferred swimming in "their own private pool" (as they referred to our private hot tub on the verandah) to venturing out on the pool deck. Watching movies in our suite or laying out on our verandah offered all the conveniences of home and then some.
Which brings me back to the main point: this suite is superb.
You will not want to leave.
This suite was remarkably comfortable, roomy and had storage space to spare. For the ultimate in indulgence, order Palo into your room for the whole family one evening and let the kids eat in their PJs. Great memories all around!
