This was our first cruise on Dream and first aft. The proximity to aft elevators was good, but there was a lot of wait time whether going up to pool deck or down to dining, etc. Vibrations were significant the first two nights. On the first night (smooth seas), I had to take the hangers off of the closet rods and put them on the shelves so they weren't touching and rattling against each other. Our third night was a rough sea night, but we slept very well - no more severe noises or vibrations than the other nights. We enjoyed the round shower with rain shower head, but the shower room (overall) seemed smaller than the verandah rooms we've previously stayed in. Upkeep/general maintenance of the room was superior and well cared for by our stateroom host. View from the extra large porthole was good as we came into ports.

This room is portside aft and we stayed in it during a weeklong Eastern Carribean cruise. This room was very similar to the verandah rooms we have stayed in in the past with the split bath and good storage. I was impressed with the size of the portholes-- it seemed bigger than some of the portholes in public areas. It is a short walk from the 8th floor Laundrette and aft elevators. The noise level was a negative-- whenever the ship was at sea, the room vibrated and creaked. The midship and forward elevators were a good hike away from this room, so be prepared to walk. To access the pool on the 11th deck, we often had to walk through Cabanas both when it was open or closed. We were generally pleased with the room, but will continue to try out other rooms on future cruises.
