|We booked this through the excursions on our Disney Wonder cruise which docked at San Francisco for the day. We had previously done the Big Bus Tour in London and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the Big Bus Tour in San Francisco is no where near as good. Our tour was set to begin at 8:15 AM. Instead of starting our tour, they waited for the 8:45 AM tour to fill the bus, although there were two other empty Big Buses also waiting at the cruise terminal. Once the bus was full, they informed us there was NO TOUR GUIDE!! We would have to listen to the canned recording. Waiting an additional 30 minutes for the bus to be full I could accept, but then not providing a live tour guide for a full bus of previously booked cruise passengers was unacceptable. The driver would also request tips as folks hopped off the bus. Very unprofessional. |
I would not recommend this particular Big Bus Tour. The only site really worth seeing on the tour was the drive over the Golden Gate Bridge where you were able to hop off and see the beautiful views. When we did hop back on another bus, we did then have a live tour guide; however, he provided more of his political views and sexual preferences then he did information about San Francisco. Another disappointment. Not worth the money we paid for a family of four.
