As my overall rating states...excellent room. 9166 was a 6A catagory on this trip. It was quiet (I never heard anything!), clean, split bathrooms of course, and we loved the location. Cabanas is just above on 11. Verandah is spectacular especially if you like being a little higher on the ship. The catagory states "solid white verandah but that's just on the very bottom, plexiglass on top and then the wood railing-views were great!) We had friends next door in 9164 (7A catagory I believe-so the other side of there verandah was solid wall, meaning you have no view or access to someone else's verandah -which actually provided alot of privacy. They loved their room and verandah!). They were not in a connecting room (this room does actually connect to 9168) but our steward did unlatch the front part of the verandah partiion (it's not open all the way as there is another part of the partition that does not open but you can see each other, walk back and forth on both verandahs, so on...) so that we could have more of connection with our friends. This actually worked out better than connecting rooms. Connecting rooms sometimes feel like you are really intruding on the interior space-a little too open-more for kids I think. Would highly recommend this room if you like aft part of the ship.
