An outstanding room, overall. Beautifully kept, nice location about halfway between midship and aft elevators. We love Deck 8 for its place between lower deck amenities and the sun decks.

Noise was great--no ship noise at all. The Fantasy generally seems to have really well insulated rooms, compared to other ships. We got some loud running children in the hall, but that could be on any floor.

The only reason I didn't give a 5 was that the Starboard side would have a better view of Castaway Cay and of the Fireworks on Pirate night, if you choose to avoid the masses at the deck party. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever.

This was a great location, about halfway between the midship and aft stairwells/elevators. There was not a whole lot of traffic, and not a long walk to go up/down to whereever we were headed. My complaints about the noise was the level that came through the adjoining door to the next cabin.

The room was spacious enough for our family of four, with two elementary-aged boys. They loved the constellations above the pull-down bunk.

I would recommend the port side of the ship for the port views, other than Castaway Cay.
