Finding the room was so close to the elevators I wasn't sure how noise would be and once we got on board we found it was right at the "entry" way to the stairs and elevators. Additionally, there are two animated portraits that are also both used for the Detective Agency game. However, we found the noise to be quite tolerable. It amazes me how soundproof the cabins are. Unless it was quiet (nap time) and I was consciously paying attention, I didn't notice the noise. Most did come from kids running about - usually due to finding the pictures for the detective game. If you are booking on your own and extremely noise-senstive, I would veer away from this one. Otherwise, noise level was fine so don't panic if you end up here with a VGT like us!
We did find late that the laundry/ironing on deck 7 forward were much closer than the deck 8 room aft (small tip there).
As always the upkeep and housekeeping is impeccable. The verandah gave us great views.
