Excited about the first Alaska cruise of 2017. Purposely chose this stateroom since husband's first ever cruise since located at Midship and between two decks of staterooms would be quiet and steady. It was very quiet (never heard a neighbor next door or across the hall, other wall had no stateroom), and very steady even with high winds one evening. Only noticed any movement that one evening and then only slightly. We heard others in aft rooms had more rocking that night. Major note: This room only sleeps three, no upper bunk. Closet also hangs clothes front to back, but has a pull out arm on hanging rods in both closets. Soft close devices on all drawers and closet. Even on the one evening with a little rocking the closets did not open. Bed was very comfortable and empty bags fits underneath. Curtain separated bed space from sofa pull out. We chose to pull the curtain because of light leak around room door but only on my side didn't bother husband. Always had hot water, good toilet and clean room upkeep in a timely manner. Didn't mind not having a window or porthole since we were up on deck (deck 10 bow to view coming into ports, deck 9 in adult section or deck 4, or dining with floor to ceiling windows or in a club with 5 foot wide porthole views) from dawn, (4:30am) to dark (around 10:30pm) taking in the views from the trip. Another note: wake up call on 2nd time change day happened one hour late because auto call did not change time with real time until mid day--no problem it was on way to Ketchikan and port time was 11:30am so only got one hour more sleep of sleep. Make sure to do time changes on your phone and keep them on airport mode. New on board Disney cruise app worked great on airport mode. Easy to check and use text aboard ship with no fees. Did not leave bags outside door last night for transfer chose to do express walk off--much faster. Last morning went to assigned first breakfast seating then did express walk out with bags to Disney transportation to airport--no problems. Only do this if you have first seating at breakfast since you must be out of rooms by 8:30am. Enjoyed ourselves greatly and husband liked it so much we took advantage of "Hold my space" plan to book our next Disney cruise together.
