Disney Destiny Ship’s Log Update – A Look at the The Mosaic Entrance Design for De Vil’s

Yesterday, Disney Cruise Line shared a look at the design for the mosaic tile installation at the entrance to De Vil’s aboard the Disney Destiny. In the Ship Log update on the Disney Parks Blog, we learned there will be a marquee spelling out “De Vil’s” in letters designed to look like piano keys, setting the scene for an evening of live music and chic cocktails inside the venue.

Disney Imagineers are bringing this glamorous new space to life starting with a floor mosaic which will feature Cruella’s infamous catchphrase, “How Marvelous,” surrounded by 15 paw prints.

Inside the lounge, details will reflect Cruella’s flair for style and wickedly bold attitude. Uniquely shaped furnishings will have a luxurious feel with rich textures and couture fabrics, drawing inspiration from her signature color palette of black and white with red accents. The carpet will boast an intricate design that appears ink-splotched and hand-drawn as a tribute to Ken Anderson, the artist who oversaw the stylized designs of the characters in Disney Animation’s “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.”

An eye-catching spotted piano will be the focal point of the venue and the Disney Parks Blog created a downloadable wallpaper with the spotted pattern from the piano as a teaser for more things to come with the November debut of the Disney Destiny when she sets sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

It will be hard to pick a favorite ship when all the ships put to sea, so many wonderful Disney themes. Living on the west coast, we are limited to the WONDER, which we love and made so many friends on all our cruises. We will need to to a lot of advanced planning to sail on as many as we can.
