Today, the Disney Adventure floated out of the Meyer Wismar construction hall in Wismar, Germany. The float out ceremony was overseen by Captain Minnie Mouse and Captain Mickey Mouse and included ceremonial fireworks to commemorate this construction milestone.

The doors to the construction hall opened on earlier in the week revealing to the world the first view of the Disney Adventure’s bow.

The Disney Adventure float out began around 9 AM local time and was live streamed live by Philli Gran on YouTube.

The soon to be 208,000 gross tons ship is still incomplete and by moving outside the shipyard can now work on installing her distinctive funnels and top-deck roller coaster, Ironcycle Test Run.

Reports suggest that the Disney Adventure is scheduled to commence sea trials in the Baltic Sea later this summer. Following these trials, she is expected to make her grand debut in December, embarking on 3-, 4-, and 5-night cruises to nowhere from Singapore.

While not part of the float out, Inselvidoe posted some never seen footage of the Disney Adventure’s megablock as it was towed to the then MV Werft Wismar shipyard in November 2019. Measuring 160,000 GT, the megablock was the largest object built by humans to be towed to another location.

The Disney Adventure, a one of a kind ship, will feature innovative Disney experiences along with the dazzling entertainment, world-class dining and legendary guest service that set Disney Cruise Line apart. Guests of all ages will find dedicated spaces and activities designed just for them, and families will create unforgettable memories with beloved characters such as Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse, Disney Princesses, Marvel Super Heroes and more. The Disney Adventure’s Maiden Voyage is scheduled to set sail from Singapore on December 15, 2025.
