Due to this sailing’s cancellation, the current itinerary gap for the Disney Fantasy is now September 29, 2025 to November 16, 2025. We will continue to monitor for additional sailings to be added in October from Southampton as well as report back once the revised Westbound Transatlantic is announced.
So Disney decided to add two 7 Night European cruises from Southampton a month or so ago, but since they added the two sailing, Dry Dock has been delayed two weeks, resulting in other peoples sailing getting canceled. This is messy and unnecessary.
I was on that WBTA, and was surprised when I read about the two European sailings being added. There is speculation that the shipyard had to shift some things around which led to the change in the Dry Dock dates. I doubt that DCL decided to make this change because it suited them. I am disappointed, but looking forward to seeing what the revised WBTA will look like. Hoping that since it will sail later that it may be a Very Merry Christmas Time Cruise.
I doubt Disney chose to delay the dry docking, at least not without receiving some sort of compensation from the company that owns the dock.
Is there any concern that the November 16th date may be canceled due to dry dock, or is DCL pretty good about staying on schedule one the ship is in?
Anything is possible, but considering they just made this change suggests they finalized the scheduling with the shipyard and vendors.
Does anyone know what the “refurbishments” are going to be?
While details have not been revealed, there is a likelihood they will be similar to the changes on the Disney Dream last fall.
