The Disney Treasure which is making her way to Port Canaveral ahead of her December Maiden voyage was the closest ship to the vessel in distress. From the Treasure, Captain Marco Nogara oversaw the launch of a life boat which successfully rescued all four passengers aboard the catamaran.

Captain Marco issued the following statement to ABC News, “We are pleased that the Disney Treasure was able to provide aid to the boat passengers in peril. Our crew members worked together on the rescue, skillfully demonstrating their training and commitment to safety.”

The Disney Treasure’s transatlantic crossing remains on track and is scheduled to arrive at Port Canaveral on November 12th.

Imagine thinking you are going to die, and then miraculously are rescued by a ship. And that ship just happens to be a Disney ship. And that Disney ship just happens to be a brand spanking new ship that no passengers have sailed on yet. They hit the jackpot!!

Opps, nevermind… didn’t read the part that the ship was on it’s first official voyage already (though that was in December)!

I am surprised that she just happened off the coast of Bermuda and was able to rescue them she didn’t even make it home yet and already had to do something I think she should get a reward for saving people even before she set sail
