Recently, Disney Cruise Line has recently updated the recommended gratuity for Concierge Guests. Across the fleet, the recommended gratuity for guests staying in Concierge accommodations is now $23.50 USD per night, per stateroom guest.
Guests staying in Concierge Staterooms and Suites are recommended a gratuity amount of $23.50 USD per night, per stateroom Guest. This includes gratuity for the assistant stateroom host, who services the Concierge accommodations, and the Concierge Lounge team, in addition to the positions listed above.

This recent recommend minimum tip increase will be refelcted in pre-paid gratuities or charged to guests onboard account at the end of the voyage. Disney Cruise Line’s recommended gratuity of $14.50 USD is still suggested per guest (including infants and children), per night for clients in non-Concierge accommodations.
In general, pre-paid gratuities are distributed to the crew members who take care of you in the following roles:
- Dining room server ($4.75/per day)
- Dining room assistant server ($3.75/per day)
- Dining room head server ($1.25/per day)
- Stateroom host ($4.75/per day)

How does this affect someone who prepaid gratuities when I booked last month for a cruise next year?
Concierge are recommended and not included in pre-paid. Pre-paid only covers Stateroom Host, Head Server, Server and Assistant Server. If you have a concierge room, you would have still had more tips to pay (despite having done pre-paid) to those other positions if you chose to do so as they are recommended.
