Today, the Disney Treasure completed another milestone when it was guided by tugboat down the Ems River from Meyer Werft shipyard toward open water for the first time.

The Disney Treasure departed the Meyer Werft shipyard on the morning of September 18, 2024, and began the Ems River conveyance in route to Eemshaven, Netherlands. Leaving the shipyard, the ship passed waving spectators, who lined the river’s shores to celebrate its departure.

During the next few weeks, the ship will go through a series of rigorous tests and sea trials. Captain Marco, will be onboard to help oversee the trials and ensure the Disney Treasure is ready for its upcoming transatlantic journey ahead of the ship’s delivery from Meyer Werft to Disney Cruise Line.
