Two November 2025 Disney Dream Sailings Cancelled – Booked Passengers Offered Discount on a Future Voyage

Today, Disney Cruise Line began notifying guests booked on the following two November 2025 Disney Dream sailing sailings from Fort Lauderdale that their cruise has been cancelled due to “operational need.”

If you were booked on either sailing, keep an eye on your email for more information from Disney Cruise Line on the cancellation and future cruise discount offer.

Guests who were booked on the cancelled sailings will be refunded to the original form of payment. The cruise line is extending a 20% discount on a future sailing departing on or before September 3, 2026.

Based on operational needs, the length of your sailing is being adjusted. To facilitate this adjustment, your reservation has been cancelled and any funds applied to your reservation have been refunded back to the original form of payment

At this time, the 9-nights are up in limbo, but similar things have happened in the past when the ship is privately chartered.

There is chatter that it was cancelled due to a corporation wanting to book the ship for these dates……I wouldn’t doubt that this is true…..

Given the dates, can’t help but think it may be related to the arrival of the Destiny. Yes, such logistics would have been arranged long in advance, but it doesn’t mean an unexpected change with the arrival schedule can’t happen and it’s not a completely far-fetched guess. Going to set myself reminders to keep checking in the months ahead to see where the Dream ends up during that time-frame (DCL can’t hide where it’s going to be forever). In addition, once the Destiny itineraries / dates are announced in 2 weeks I’ll be curious to see if the Destiny ends up being in port on the 8th or 13th.

Scott, Thanks for advising the change isn’t Destiny-related so that I no longer need to spend time trying to confirm or deny it myself. While I knew what was going to happen, I called DCL for the heck of it to inquire and it goes without saying I received the same “Operational Needs” explanation. A family member is an authorized Disney Travel agent who has been selling Disney cruises for over 15 years for a very prominent Diamond EarMarked agency and even she doesn’t know. Since you’re able to advise with certainty as to what it’s not related to, it would appear you’re aware of what it is related to. With this, I ask the following two questions respectfully… 1) With not being affiliated with DCL, how are you able to confirm it’s not Destiny-related? 2) If you do know with certainty, why not share it in the post? Again, I ask this with respect and value being able to discuss such things via your platform. Thank you.

          Hi Justen,
I have sources and out of respect to my sources, I am not sharing additional information. I will only share additional details when I can provide evidence like I try to include at other times.

If its due to anything but a dry dock or some kind of maintenance, shareholders should be jacked. When the ships are not sailing “for revenue” its a huge loss.

Agreed Alex. Disney stock is stuck in the cellar, and shareholders need to be briefed on what is exactly going on.

Those dates are well over a year out so airline reservations for anything close to those dates would not be available for booking yet.
