Today, Disney Cruise Line revealed November 20, 2025 will be the Maiden Voyage for the Disney Destiny which will embark on a 4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale with stops at both Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay. The Disney Destiny will be sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale with a selection of 4- and 5-night sailings to the Western Caribbean and Bahamas.
Bookings for the Disney Destiny’s inaugural season will open to the general public on September 12, 2024 with tiered booking for Castaway Club Members starting September 6th.
Although the Disney Parks Blog referenced “itineraries”, JUST REVEALED: Disney Destiny Maiden Voyage and Itineraries, in the title, the detailed sail dates and itinerary information has NOT been published on Disney Cruise Line’s website. I would not be surprised if we had to wait until sometime later this week to see those revealed in a follow up announcement.
While we wait for the actual Disney Destiny sail date, the Parks Blog left us with some more information on Cask & Cannon, the Disney Destiny’s Pirates in the Caribbean inspired pub.
I think that you mean “tiered” booking for Castaway Club Members starting September 6th, and not “tired”.
Having gone thrrough this procedurre on a numberr of times I think that TIRED is correct, argh (silent g).
So Scott Destiny’s home port will be Ft Lauderdale?
Yes, that is correct.
Thank you. So will the Fantasy or Dream be Port Canaveral’s home port. Our stateroom host on our Fantasy cruise 3 weeks ago said the Treasure was taking the Fantasy’s itinerary. Sounds like Disney is pushing the bigger ships.
This is basically how it works. The older ship get the best itineraries because people might not want to sail on the older ship but do want to go to the best locations. The newer ships on the other hand tend to go on the shorter and less desirable itineraries because people are going to experience the ship or are more likely to book for the newer ship even after the itinerary is less desirable. This enables the cruise line to keep the older ships and service longer and get the newer ships booked even on the less expensive (to operate) itineraries.
I love Marvel and I like to see it on the ships in creative ways but having a Marvel character on the the stern of a Disney ship is an abomination.
When I see this kind of decision making at Disney it becomes very clear that the decision makers have no clue or don’t care about the history of the company or what Disney Magic means to the fans.
The first ship in the fleet is the Magic for a reason. Disney magic is a specific idea that once encompassed the overall philosophy of the company. You would experience it on those classic ships, in the parks and even in the retail stores.
IP has its place in the Disney company but it definitely isn’t on the back of a Disney Cruise Linen ship!
I wish they would bring back Key West…. and do more Southern Caribbean routes.
This 💯
Key West doesn’t want cruise ships. They claim the ships are destroying their reefs.
Finaly DCL is getting a selection of Rums. Hopefully, some of that inspiration makes it’s way to the Jungle Cruise Lounge on the Treasure. It needs the exotic liquors to match the theming.
Are they really going to have the Dream and the Destiny both in Ft. Lauderdale and both doing the same 4/5 night itineraries? That seems like such a waste. Why not have one of them doing some 6/7/8 night options that could open up a wider variety of destinations instead of just Nassau, Cozumel & the Private Islands??
Keep in mind, the Destiny will become the year round ship while the Dream (or any other DCL ship) will be the seasonal ship. Things could change up in fall 2026.
Any idea if the second cruise will be a DVC only cruise? Also any idea when we will be able to see the cruises on the web site? I assume you can’t use placeholders as well. Thank you. I just love this blog.
The will be revealed early this week.
