Late last week, Disney Cruise Line started to notify guests booked on the Disney Magic’s first 2023 sailing from New Orleans. The February 18th 5-night Western Caribbean cruise has been modified replacing the originally planned February 20th call in Costa Maya with a stop in Progreso. The revised itinerary is as follows:
- Saturday February 18, 2023 – New Orleans, Louisiana
- Sunday February 19, 2023 – At Sea
- Monday February 20, 2023 – Progreso, Mexico (previously Costa Maya, Mexico)
- Tuesday February 21, 2023 – Cozumel, Mexico
- Wednesday February 22, 2023 – At Sea
Thursday February 23, 2023 – New Orleans, Louisiana (Debarkation)
Additionally, guests have been notified the Disney Magic is not scheduled to arrive in New Orleans until 2:00 PM. As a result, guests have been informed boarding is anticipated to begin at 3:00 PM and the cruise line is asking guests to arrive at their scheduled port arrival times. The all aboard time shown on Disney website is now 8:00 PM, but it is imperative to keep an eye on any and all future correspondence directly from Disney Cruise Line.

Per the following correspondence from Disney, the Disney Magic is now scheduled to depart New Orleans at 8:30 PM on February 18th.

On February 17th, the Disney Magic ends her seasonal deployment in Galveston and will embark on a 1-night crew only repositioning cruise to New Orleans.
I am on this ship. We are very disappointed about the late sailing and changes. We were in Progreso last week and there is nothing to do.
I have contacted Disney. Can’t get them to respond.
My big question is if sail off is 8:30 will there be a sail away party. What happens if my dinner is at 8:15. Do we have to miss dinner? Any one know
Only DCL can provide the details specific to this sailing. The events would be scheduled by the onboard team, not shoreside.
