UPDATED: Disney Wish’s November 11, 2022 Embarkation Delayed 6.5 Hours – Nassau Call Dropped for Day at Sea

SEE UPDATE AT THE END

This evening, Disney Cruise Line informed guests booked on Friday, November 11th’s 3-Night Bahamian cruise to arrive at the terminal at least least four (4) hours after their selected port arrival time, but no later than 8:00 p.m.

At the time of publication, Port Canaveral remains closed following Tropical Storm Nicole which moved through parts of Central Florida last night and today.  Before the port can reopen, the United States Coast Guard must verify that the channel is safe for cruise ship operations. As a result, the Disney Wish will arrive into Port Canaveral on Friday later than originally scheduled. Thus delaying debarkation of the current cruise causing a ripple effect which is why guests sailing on the November 11th cruise have been asked to arrive 4 hours after their port arrival time.

As a result of this delayed departure from Port Canaveral, the sailing will also have an itinerary modification. Instead of visiting Nassau on Saturday, the ship will now spend the day at sea, followed by the scheduled call to Castaway Cay on Sunday.

The revised itinerary for the Disney Wish’s first Very MerryTime cruise, and our third DCL Blog Group Cruise is as follows:

  1. Friday November 11, 2022 – Port Canaveral, Florida
  2. Saturday November 12, 2022 – At Sea (previously Nassau)
  3. Sunday November 13, 2022 – Castaway Cay
Monday November 14, 2022 – Port Canaveral, Florida (Debarkation)
