This week Disney Auditions put out a casting call for an actor interested in auditioning for the role of Wong for the upcoming Marvel Day at at Sea cruises. The casting notice includes a character description within the monologue provided for candidates to use in their online video submissions:
Actor for Disney Cruise Line Marvel Day at Sea cruises. Based on the Marvel film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Seeking performer with appropriate look and vocal quality. Performer will be involved in staged productions, meet & greet, happenings, and immersive events; both scripted and improvised. Performer should be 5’8” to 5’11” with an stocky build.

Disney Cruise Line: Online Submission – Marvel Day at Sea – Actors to portray Wong
Submission auditions accepted now for the new season of Marvel Day at Sea aboard the Disney Dream. Seeking roles for staged events, immersive meet & greet, productions, and surprise happenings! Must be available approximately October 15, 2022 to December 19, 2022 – AND – January 2, 2023 to March 9, 2023. Performers will be hired as onboard Crew, and must complete all application, pre-employment and onboarding requirements. Including criminal background check, and medical. Contract will include rehearsal and performance rate, contract completion bonus, meals while onboard, travel and housing.
Select candidates may be further investigated pending role consideration, including but not limited to height, look, martial arts or combat skills. Some roles need strong acting ability.
Seeking Actor for Wong:
- WONG – Strong, mature, comedic actor 5’8” to 5’11”. Based on the character performed by actor Benedict Wong in the films, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Stocky build and a powerful presence. A master of the mystic arts, WONG, the Sorcerer Supreme, is a gifted and highly intelligent master of the mystic arts who always gets the last word.
