Disney Wonder Returns to Florida After Spending the Fall Abroad

The Disney Wonder returned to Port Canaveral on Friday, November 27, 2020, becoming the first in the Disney Cruise Line fleet to return to from repatriation efforts and dry/wet dock in Europe. The following video shows the Disney Wonder’s early morning arrival and maneuvering into her berth at Port Canaveral’s Cruise Terminal 10 (CT10).

The Disney Wonder sailed to Europe in late September, spending most of her time in dry/wet dock in Brest, France with a few trips to Dover. The Disney Wonder spent October 20th to November 5th out of water in the dry dock berth near her sisters in Brest, France.

The following is a drone video of the Disney Wonder’s approach into her berth recorded by Dave Krijgsman.

As part of the CDC’s conditional sail order, each ship will need to earn certification to resume cruise operations and via test cruises. The Wonder’s arrival back in Florida within the CDC’s jurisdiction is a step in the right direction. While this is a positive step forward, there are many hurdles left to cross before cruising resumes.

Below is a photo gallery of the Disney Wonder’s arrival.

The Disney Fantasy will soon join the Disney Wonder as she is currently sailing across the Atlantic, and is scheduled to arrive in Florida on December 2, 2020.

By the way, the Space Coast is a great place to stare up into space as you patiently wait for the 6am scheduled arrival that was closer to 7am.

Thank you so much Scott. This is a step in the right direction, and I cannot wait to be on any of the Disney ships again.
