Along with today’s early 2022 itinerary release, Disney Cruise Line announced an update for the Disney Wish. Originally the Disney Wish was announced to sail in early 2022, the Disney Wish is now scheduled for its maiden voyage in summer 2022 due to pandemic-related delays at the Meyer-Werft shipyard in Germany.
As previously announced, the Disney Wish will be powered by liquified natural gas or LNG, one of the cleanest-burning fuels available. At approximately 144,000 gross tons and 1,250 guest staterooms, the ship will be slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
Perhaps the pandemic-related delays will give some time to build in some additional safeguards to the ships that help reduce the spread of viruses of all kinds. Maybe enhanced ventilation/filtering, buffet features, etc. Never fun to get sick on a cruise!

The details on booking the Maiden voyage for the Disney Wish have not been revealed yet by Disney Cruise Line.
Is it possible to book a Summer 2022 cruise this week, then revise this for the Disney Wish once those itineraries become available?
I am not aware of any restrictions in place that would prevent moving a booking to the Wish.
